Many innovative, power-intensive portable power stations are rolling out each day. These gadgets are getting beefed up with power and are shedding unnecessary muscle, making them portable. One such great power station that has given more emphasis on the portability factor is the EcoFlow Delta Mini. Yeah, it’s been in the market for quite some time, but believe me, there’s much more that makes it rather fascinating.

We’ve been on the EcoFlow Delta Mini for quite some time now, and we’ve put this through some serious tests and trials. This time, we’ve come up with a complete and comprehensive review of the new EcoFlow Delta Mini. Make sure to go through our comprehensive review if you really want to get a feel of what this portable power station is capable of.

EcoFlow Delta Mini: Overview

The EcoFlow Delta Mini is a super compact, portable power station that comes with a battery capacity of 882Wh. This portable version includes quite a number of DC ports that offer varying outputs. The AC outlet port on this mini power station offers an output of 1400W, which can surge to the peak value of 2100W.

There is the XBoost mode, Dual mode power, and many other innovative features up its sleeves.

The device is portable to the core, compared to the Delta version. You’ll most probably be awestruck to know the power packed inside its compact housing once you get to know it better. Most of all, this is a lightweight version, and you can carry this with one hand.

The EcoFlow Delta Mini is an updated version of the Delta Power Station, and, believe me, they’ve done some serious engineering this time. There is the XBoost mode, Dual mode power, and many other innovative features up its sleeves. The Delta Mini has the ability to be coupled up with an input of 900W. This means fast recharging along with better and optimized power output delivery. It can even support 2-way power while being charged, making it your mini UPS.

What’s more, the Delta Mini has made its design the most eye catchy. It is so elegant that you fall in love with it at first gaze. The Delta Mini has a small LED display that’s cute. It is fairly bright and easy to read even under the burning sun. We’ll talk more about the device’s design, portability, key features, and power outputs as well as the charging options as we move on.

As you know, the Delta Mini is a more compact and updated version of the old and bulky Delta Pro, which has wheels to carry. Delta Mini has gotten rather compact in design without ditching necessary ports and outlets and has even given some design gimmicks for a premium touch. Even though it looks like a miniature version of the Delta Pro, there are distinct individual design points that help you ideally separate the Delta Mini from the Delta Pro.

Delta Mini is gotten rather compact in design without ditching necessary ports.

The Delta Mini features a cubical design and has a dual-tone plastic housing. At the front, you’ll find a decent digital display, a power button, and USB ports. The device offers 3 USB ports in total, 2 USB Type A and a USB Type C, and all are placed right at the front.

The sides are rather timid and don’t really include any switches or ports. All that you’ll see on the sides are large fan slits running along the dual-tone interjection. The fans kick on automatically even though the device’s Thermal Management System recognizes a rise in temperature. Of course, they’re a bit noisy but given the mammoth peak power they could generate, an efficient heat dissipation system is a must.

EcoFlow Delta Mini AC Ports

On the rear is where you find the main charging input ports. It is also where you can find the High Watt DC Output ports. The input ports and the output ports are separated sectionally. On the rear top is where you find the input ports which are concealed by a little pop-up cover.

This includes a DC jack for the Solar Panel, a Charge Rate Selection Switch, an AC input plug, and a circuit breaker. The plus point that I liked about the input ports is that the DC port acts as a method to charge the power station via your car’s DC output. Also, you get the Car Adapter cable with the full delivery.

Right below the input ports is where you find the AC ports. There are a total of 5 AC outlets, four of which have 3-prong cable compatibility. The AC as well as the DC ports, can be individually switched off or on. But the USB C ports at the front are in operation 24*7.

The EcoFlow Delta Mini features AC and DC ports that charge up to 12 devices simultaneously. You get a total of 5 AC ports that offer a max output of 120V @50/60Hz. These ports are useful to power your AC devices, even those power-intensive ones like drills or other tools.

The AC output is a pure sine wave and offers up to 2100W surge capacity. Good enough for the devices that need an initial boost in the startup. Delta Mini supplies 120V, with 50/60Hz output frequency. A point worth mentioning is that out of the 5, there are 2 ports that can be used as grounded.

EcoFlow Delta Mini USB Ports Devices

Apart from the AC ports, there are a total of 4 USB Output ports. These include 3 USB A, out of which one is Fast Charge compatible. A 100W USB Type-C lets you fast charge almost all your compatible smartphones and other devices.

EcoFlow Delta Mini Laptop

What’s more, these ports are basically Plug n Play. They are up and running 24*7, and this, in a way, improves the overall convenience level. You’ll also find a 12V accessory socket and two DC barrel connectors.

Some devices, including the mini-fridge or other portable appliances, come with a 12V Cigarette Lighter Port charger. This Delta Mini offers up to 126W output with 10A maximum output current.

When we talk about the USB-C port, the Delta Mini has only one USB-C port. I feel this is a drawback. Most consumer devices are adopting USB-C ports now, and the Delta Mini has only one USB-C output port.

EcoFlow Delta Mini Car Charger Port

If you have more devices like iPhone, iPad, or MacBook, you may have additional power adapters to connect your devices. We have used one USB-C port for the MacBook Pro, which offers 100W, which is good enough for your MacBook or USB-C-based laptops.

For iPhones and iPads, you can use USB-A cables to charge the devices if you don’t want to use the additional power bricks. Beware, these power cubes offer just below 90%, and any additional device you connect to this introduces energy loss. As long as you have enough ports, try to avoid the additional power bricks if possible.

The Delta Mini comes with an NCM Li-ion battery that offers up to 800 cycles at 80% battery charging cycles. In addition, Mini has a bunch of protection systems to protect the built-in battery, the Delta unit, and the output devices connected to it.

The Delta mini has over-voltage and over-temperature protection to secure the device and the battery. The Delta mini can protect itself from overloading, over-current, and short circuit. If you are going to use this device in extremely cold weather, there is low-temperature protection to kick in.

Delta Mini can charge up to 100% in one and a half hours, which is marvelous.

The recharging modes include the AC and the DC input methods. On the rear, you’ll find the input ports that, include the 75V Max DC port and a 120V AC port. The charging methods are fairly efficient, and the star attraction about the Delta Mini is that it’s solar rechargeable.

The solar panel is plugged directly into the DC input, and charging rates depend on the availability of continuous sunlight. On the whole, the AC charging mode is simply the fastest. If you have the luxury to connect two 160W solar panels, you can connect them together to fully charge Delta Mini in as little as 4 to 8 hours.

Normally a battery pack of 900W would take nothing less than 6 to 8 hours to fully charge up. But the Delta Mini is incorporated with the XStream Fast Charging. With this, the Delta Mini can charge up to 100% in one and a half hours, which is marvelous.

Normally a battery pack of 900W would definitely take nothing less than 6 to 8 hours to fully charge up. But the Delta Mini is incorporated with the XStream Fast Charging. With this, the Delta Mini can charge up to 100% in one and a half hours, which is marvelous.

By the way, The XStream Fast Charging can be activated from the app or manually. But there is a downside to fast charging. Once switched to the XStream Charging Mode, the device potentially draws more power and thereby could cut off the main powerline occasionally.

The beauty of fast charging is that you can plug Delta Mini into a standard AC wall outlet, and within one hour, you can charge the unit to 80% with X-Stream charging technology.

I would suggest that there isn’t a need to turn towards the fast charging mode as the slow charging mode also does exceptionally well compared to other power stations with similar power output. Also, with a pass-through charging feature, you could plug in the input while keeping all your devices connected.

EcoFlow Delta Mini: Exceptional Features

The EcoFlow Delta Mini is a great power station that’s travel friendly. It is packed with a great amount of output power that lets you power almost all your essential gadgets. The Delta Mini is packed with some great features that are worth mentioning.

Ports and Output: The number of ports and the power output is a real plus point, no matter what. You get 5 AC ports, 4 DC USB ports, and a number of DC ports. The power output depends on the port that you intend to connect. The 100W USB C port and the 12 V DC power supply port come in handy during your trips and camping.

X-Boost Mode: The Delta Mini can reach up to 1400W to run these power-hungry gadgets. But with the XBoost Mode, the Delta Mini boosts itself to give a power output of 1800W without causing any power fluctuations.

X-Stream Fast Charging: The normal power stations of around 900W take around 6 to 7 hours to charge up fully. With the XStream Fast Charging on, the device goes from 0 to 100% in under two hours. This is extremely useful as you cannot predict when you’ll need that essential power.

EcoFlow App-Based Monitoring: The EcoFlow app works flawlessly with this power generator. I don’t see the App integration with other brand power generators more often. The EcoFlow app lets you monitor almost everything related to the power station. You can even toggle power ports on and off and set the critical power usage level within the app.

EcoFlow Delta Mini: App Features

The EcoFlow app is from where you can monitor the Power Station’s overall performance. Apart from monitoring, you can even do a lot of things that’ll blow your mind.

The app is available on both the Android as well as the iOS platform. Once downloaded, the app connects with the Delta Mini via WiFi. Initial setup includes signing in and adding the device, ie, the Delta Mini.

You’ll see a “+” symbol after you’ve signed in the top right corner. Tapping on that gives you a list of EcoFlow gadgets you’ll need to navigate to the Delta Mini. On the Delta Mini, make sure to press and hold the IoT Reset button before connecting it to the WiFi network.

The app, on the whole, is feature packed and straightforward. The main page you land on after executing the connection processes shows vital information related to the gadget. These include the temperature, estimated runtime, and current battery capacity. Right next to this info, on the lower bottom, you’ll find the Output and Input Monitor.

EcoFlow Delta Mini App Display Charge

The app screen shows the real-time view of the power that is being consumed by your connected devices. And it is via the app that you can switch on/off the power ports like the AC or the 12V DC.

There is also a way to manually switch on the X-Boost Mode for gadgets that are rated higher wattage. Of course, the Delta Mini has the ability to recognize them once connected but yet, but a manual button does increase the convenience.

Toggling to the Input lets, you monitor the current charging wattage. It focuses more on the power supplied by the DC sources, and yes, tracking is minimal as there isn’t a historical charging graph or anything.

From the homepage, navigating to the settings pages will leave you dumbstruck. There are options that let you set Charge/ Discharge Levels, AC Charge Speed, and many more. You can set the discharge rates accordingly to increase the battery pack’s longevity. By default, it’s set at 100%, by the way.
